The Newton Township Board of Trustees will hold two Special Meetings for the purpose of conducting interviews for the Newton Township Fire Department Lieutenants positions. The Special Meetings will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2023, at 5:00 PM, and Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at 5:00 PM, at the Township Hall, 2551 Mount Vernon Road, Newark, OH 43055. The Board will enter into executive session pursuant to ORC 121.22(G)(1) to consider the appointment or employment of a public employee.

Robert W. Arenz of 4301 Martinsburg Rd., Newark, OH 43055 (“property”) is notified that the Newton Township Board of Trustees determined that junk motor vehicles, as defined per the Newton Township Zoning Resolution, exist on the property and constitute a nuisance. The Board ordered Robert W. Arenz to abate or remove the vehicles from the property. If the vehicles are not abated or removed within 14 days of this notice, the Board of Trustees will provide for the abatement or removal, and any costs incurred by the Board in performing that task shall be entered upon the tax duplicate and become a lien upon the land from the date of entry.  (Newark Advocate, 4/27/2023)

Thomas and Carol Minton of 7591 Preston Rd., Newark, OH 43055 (“property”) are notified that the Newton Township Board of Trustees determined that junk motor vehicles, as defined per the Newton Township Zoning Resolution, exist on the property and constitute a nuisance. The Board ordered Thomas and Carol Minton to abate, control, or remove the scrap metal, refuse, and other debris. If this scrap metal, refuse and other debris is not abated, controlled, or removed within 7 days of this notice, the Board will provide for the abatement, control, or removal, and any costs incurred by the Board in performing that task shall be entered upon the tax duplicate and become a lien upon the land from the date of entry.
