The Newton Township Board of Trustees (Licking County, Ohio) will accept sealed bids on or before 6:30 PM on Tuesday, August 19, for the 2025 Chip Seal Projects. Scope: Single Chip Seal (#8 Limestone @25 lbs/s.y. and MS-3000 Seal @.40 gal/s.y.). PROJECT A Roads: Berger Hollow Rd, Darlene Dr, Hillcrest Rd, Roger Rd, Tinon Ln, Wilkins Run Rd. PROJECT B Roads: Chatham Rd, Preston Rd, Weaver Rd, Mulberry St.

Bidders shall submit their bid proposal in a sealed envelope that is clearly marked: 2025 CHIP SEAL BID. Bids may be mailed or delivered to: 2551 Mount Vernon Road, c/o Alicia Preston, Newark, OH 43055. All proposals must be in accordance with the Ohio Revised Code. Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rate requirements on public improvements. The Board of Trustees reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, or to accept or reject the whole or any part of any bid; or to waive any informalities or irregularities and to award the contract to the lowest and best, responsible, and responsive bidder whose proposal is deemed most favorable to the Township. The Board of Trustees may award one project or both projects, or reject both projects.
The bid opening will be held at the Township Hall, 2551 Mount Vernon Road, Newark, OH 43055, during the Newton Township Board of Trustees’ August 19, 2025, Regular Meeting. No bids will be accepted after 6:30 PM on August 19, 2025. BID OPENING 8/19/ CANCELLED – BID FORMS/SPECS TO BE UPDATED.
